Each of us associates France with romantic, luxury, and sophisticated taste. Magnificent castles with beauties and brave heroes will not leave anyone indifferent. So, if you like elegance and sophistication with aristocracy elements, French interior design is meant for you.
One of the main features of the French style is interior high cost, starting with furniture and ending with decorative elements. A plenty of tissues is welcomed here: velvet, satin, chiffon, and organza. An integral part of the interior is mirrors and pictures in gold-plated frames. Cut-glass chandeliers, candle holders, and other lighting devices are used in abundance.
The main rule for choosing right colors for the French interior style is moderation. Pastel tones are preferable, and ivory is more desirable than white. Use lilac, emerald, grey and green, light blue and silver shades. Walls play great part for the whole atmosphere. They are painted with matte and semi matte colors. The floor should be expensive. Parquet, ceramic granite or light polished stone will be a perfect choice. Small carpets with a floral pattern are put on the floor. Cheaper coverage will spoil the whole picture, so this is inadvisable to use it.
